An Ode to September

I love Fall. And not just in the basic white girl-I love Pumpkin Spice Lattes-kind of way. (Disclaimer: I actually hate Pumpkin Spice Lattes)  I love the calm crisp feeling of early mornings, I love to sip coffee under a blanket on a relaxed Saturday morning, and I love sultry fall fashion and makeup trends.

But for a long time September also meant the start of the school year. I absolutely loved school. I loved the feeling of a fresh start, of new school supplies (I have an obsession for planners and organization), seeing my friends everyday and just having fun.

I’ve been reminiscing on school this last month and decided to take a trip down memory lane. Some of my best memories are from college (Go Sac State!) College allowed me to grow as a person. Forced me to think outside of the box. Pushed me in my scholastic abilities. But I also met people that changed my life forever. I had mentors and teachers that really inspired me. I joined a sorority that gave me life long friendships. I met the love of my life. I really discovered who I was during those years.

If your in school I encourage you to make the most of it. You only get this chance once, live it to the fullest. If you’re out of school like me, take a moment to relive some of your favorite memories. Take a trip to your Alma Mater or dust off those old pictures. I recently did both of these things.

Take a look below for some of my favorite memories and recent pictures I took of Alma Mater.
