Do you ever find yourself overwhelmed or stressed? Something keeping you up at night or can’t go to sleep? Maybe a major life change is happening? We all have our own way of dealing with stress and other emotions.
I previously wrote about adult coloring books, you can find that post here. This has been a game changer for me. Not only do I find it relaxing but it gets my mind off of whatever may be bouncing around.
Another way to cope is to put pen to paper. I picked up a blank notebook from Barnes and Noble a few months ago just to keep around. Whenever I felt overwhelmed or stressed I would reach for that and just write about it. Get my thoughts and emotions out of my head and put them on paper. It would help me sort through those things and either come up with a solution if I was facing a problem, or it helped me realize that my concerns had a different root cause.
Journaling can also be a great way to record major events or happy things happening in your life. A place to keep your own record. The greatest thing about journaling is that it is completely and uniquely your own. It is what you make it.
