Ultra Chi Flat Iron | Review

A flat iron. Something you may or may not think about. But sometimes a very crucial tool. My flat iron gave out a couple of weeks ago so I had to replace it. I decided to finally invest in a little bit of a nicer one. Lucky for me, Ulta had the new Ultra Chi flat irons on sale.

I picked out the Moonlight Shimmer one. Who knew flat irons had such fancy names?! This one even came with a little tote bag. But lets get on to the review. This flat iron retails for $149.95 {but this brand is almost always on sale}. Heats up to a max of 410°, but you can control the temperature setting. Has a 9 foot cord and ceramic plates.

But does it work? YES. Full disclosure: I have fine hair {a lot of it} that is naturally wavy. Generally I do not have a problem with using any flat iron to get the job done. But this flat iron does it so well that I would imagine that even if you had curly, thick, or coarse hair – this would work for you. The ceramic plates just glide through my hair, no catching or tangles. I’ve even tried curling my hair with it and it does a great job. I’ve used it more than a few times and haven’t noticed my hair getting dryer or damaged.

All in all I really like it and can see it lasting a long while. If you have this what are your thoughts?
