Pecan Pie | Baking

This past year I have started experimenting in baking. I love to watch baking competitions. Watch cupcake and cake decorating videos on YouTube. Find new and interesting recipes on Pinterest. I also blame my office for having monthly potlucks for giving me a reason to try all these new ideas.

For Thanksgiving I decided  I wanted to try to make a pecan pie. This is my FAVORITE pie. Pumpkin is nice, but pales in comparison to pecan. So why not try and make my own? In this particular example I used a store bought crust. I was attending a party and the crust needed to be gluten-free.

The recipe I used I found on Sally’s Baking Addiction, it can be found here. Follow the link for the specific amounts and the exact directions.

Pecan is a great Thanksgiving pie but could be used for Christmas or any other holiday party or event – or heck even just for a Tuesday night treat.

What are some of your favorite holiday desserts?
