Book Worm

I love to read. Since I was a child I would love getting lost in a book. A story so engaging that it could transport you to another time or place. Make you use your imagination. I still remember the first book that made me cry. I remember books that shaped me as a person, the ones that had an impact on my life.

I love to buy books. I used to love going to the library, but if I read a book that effects me in a profound way then I want to keep it. I love to go back and re-read my favorites. I’ve done quite a bit of book buying after the holidays. There seems to be a theme with my most current buys. I’ve been drawn to books that take place in years gone by. [This probably also has to do with my love of history]

Overseas by Beatriz Williams

Cavendon Luck by Barbara Taylor Bradford

Mr. Churchill’s Secretary by Susan Elia Macneal

The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah

Next up I want to start the series based on a character named Clara Vine by Jane Thynne. It also takes place during WWII centered on Clara Vine who is an actress and is spying for the Brits.

What good books have you read lately?
