Spring Brights

Ok. Ok. I know. The last three posts about been about lip products. I’m moving on I promise. But the warm weather that has rolled into Sacramento this week had me pulling out my favorite Spring and Summer lipsticks and I wanted to share them with you!

Two of my favorite drugstore priced lip products are NYX and Colourpop. I know some people really hate the Colourpop matte formula. It is drying and can accentuate dry lips. But as long as you prep your lips (exfoliate and moisturize) then its not too bad and it does last all day. If you really can’t stand the matte formula, check out the ultra satin formula.

The NYX Suede formula is pretty great too. While its not transfer proof or as long wearing as Colourpop, it is much more comfortable.

For Spring and Summer I gravitate towards bright colors. Pinks, oranges, reds, neons. Bright colors can be high maintenance so its nice to find a long wearing one so you don’t have to worry about touch ups as much.

The one’s I’ve picked today are some of my favorites. They are bright but wearable. Perfect for a night out or laying out by the pool.

Colourpop Ouji (apparently discontinued but try Colourpop Chi Chi instead)

Colourpop The Rabbit

NYX Pink Lust

NYX Life’s a Beach

NYX Little Susie
