Sephora July Play Unboxing

How many of you pay for a subscription box? Probably a lot of you. The concept of the subscription box isn’t brand new, but it is a great way of trying new stuff out, and it’s like a little gift to yourself every month. So here is July’s Sephora Play unboxing. If you like this kind of post let me know and I’ll do one each month!

I used to subscribe to Ipsy for over a year. I only cancelled my membership because I had a gazillion of those little bags and even more little travel sized products on my vanity.

A couple months ago I got an email from Sephora announcing that they had spots available for their subscription box. So I thought why not! Its the same price as Ipsy and if I liked the product I would be able to find it at my local Sephora. (and I liked the idea of getting higher end items).

There is a theme to each box, and it also comes in a little bag. But I like these ones better. I always felt the Ipsy ones were sometimes to small to repurpose. The Sephora bags are cloth, larger and have a drawstring closure. It comes with a pamphlet giving detailed information about each product as well as a card for 50 bonus insider points when you make a purchase that month, plus some bonus perks.

If you’re interested click here, to subscribe. (I recommend trying it, you can cancel anytime!)

The description card for the perfume

So far I’m pretty happy with this box! I have color treated and damaged hair so I’m always down to try a new leave in treatment. I’ve worn the Bare Minerals matte liquid lip and its great! I will have to look at that range in the future. Its very comfortable to wear.

I’m very excited to try the two skincare items, the mask and the cooling water stick. Both are perfect for me.

I’m also very happy with the perfume sample. A few months back my boyfriend bought his mother a perfume sampler kit from Sephora and there were a few brands in the kit that I hadn’t heard of, one was Atelier Cologne. I could have sat in Sephora for a few hours just smelling their entire range.

I hope you all are having a great July, I can’t believe its almost gone!

I’ve been wanting to try out Play! What do you think of it? Would you recommend that I try it out or instead signup for a different makeup subscription service?!
