Lovin’ Love

I love, love. I mean who doesn’t? It makes me all mushy and gushy and happy. I have been privileged enough to witness quite a few friends get married over the last couple of years. So if you would like some tips on what to wear and an easy makeup look to wear to a wedding, you’re in the right place!

I’m at that point in my life where all of my friends who are in long term relationships are getting married.

I’m basically a professional wedding guest. But I love it. Nothing makes me happier then watching friends promise their love for one another.

I wore this outfit and makeup look just a couple of weeks ago to an outdoor wedding. So lets get into it.

A little before and after.

For the eyeshadow I used one of my tried and true palettes, Tarte Tartiest Pro (see it also here).  For the glitter I used the Stila Glitter and Glow Liquid Eyeshadow in Smoky Storm. The rest of the look was created with drugstore priced eyeliner and blue shadow. If you don’t have the Tarte palette, any neutral browns will work.

I used the shades Profesh and Bold in the crease and smoked it out.
I used the shade Edgy on the outer corner and brought it into the crease just a bit.
Next I applied the Stila glitter and glow eye shadow, try to let it dry before you open you eyes or it might transfer.
I used a Sephora eyeliner in My Boyfriends Jeans on the waterline and lower lashline.
I smoked out the lower lashline with Loreal Infalliable shadow in Midnight Blue. Blended out the blue with a bit of Profesh and Bold from the Tarte palette. Added just a bit of the Stila glitter to the inner corner.
Added mascara, Lancome Monsieur Big.

A look like this is great, it’s a neutral toned lid with a pop of glitter and a pop of color on the lower lashline. You can definitely leave out the blue and substitute brown shadow. But I liked the pop of blue to match my dress.

Glitter is also a great way to step up any makeup look. And its especially easy to do with a product like Stila.

I finished off the look with the new Too Faced Peaches and Cream primer and powder, which is AMAZING, check out my review here. A neutral blush, a soft highlight and a couple swipes of Kat Von D Studded Lipstick in Lovecraft.

These kinds of glam, soft, romantic looks are my favorites. Perfect for events, date nights, or any day of the week. You don’t need a reason to rock a specific makeup look!

Dresses are my go to for weddings and are usually a safe bet to meet the attire for most weddings.

Would you believe me if I said my entire outfit is from Target? Well it is! This entire outfit is under $100!

This adorable dress was new at Target from the Xhilaration. It was a great dress to wear for a hot outdoor wedding, nothing too clingy or heavy. I loved the blue mandala like pattern and it was the perfect length.

These shoes were one of my favorite finds at Target this summer. I have been wearing them nonstop. They are so incredibly comfortable, I danced in them all night.

My beautiful crossbody bag is also from Target’s Mossimo line. It’s big enough for your phone, a compact, lipstick, and a few extra goodies. I LOVED the detailed embroidery, the gold tone clasp and the red tassel on the side.

My top tips when you are a wedding guest:

– Wear something that is appropriate to the setting and time of the wedding.

– Don’t wear white, ivory, or a print that is a majority white or ivory.

-Take in the moment.

-Dance all night.

-Have fun!

There are not many “I do’s” or “I don’ts” when attending a wedding. Hopefully this post gave you some inspiration for the next wedding you go to.

If any of you try the makeup look, let me know!
