How is October almost over?! As sad as I am that Fall is slipping by, I am VERY excited for the upcoming holidays. That’s one aspect of the Sephora Play Box that I love, is that every month feels like your birthday. I mean who doesn’t love getting little surprises in the mail?! Keep reading if you want to find out what I got in this months Play box.
This month’s box was all about the complexion. Which may not sound that exciting, but I believe that having a flawless base just sets off the rest of your makeup.
First up, primer. I received the Becca First Light Filter face primer. I’ve actually owned this primer before and it does add a luminosity to the skin. As someone with oily skin I didn’t find this made me any oilier.
Next, foundation. I received a great deluxe sample of the Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation in the shade R230. This might be a smidge dark for me, especially this time of year, but I should be able to make it work. I remember way back when I started watching YouTube this was the foundation EVERYONE was using, but I’ve never tried it so I’m actually very excited for this.
Don’t forget to set the skin! For this I got a little jar of the Laura Mercier Translucent powder. Talk to any makeup junkie and they will tell you about this powder. This is the perfect setting powder. I’ve owned this multiple times and it will always be a staple for me.
To give the skin dimension they sent a small sample of the Cover FX Custom Enhancer Drops in the shade Moonlight. If you saw my recent post on the holiday set of these guys then you know that Moonlight is included in the set. This sample is just a bit smaller then the size in the set but you have to use such a small amount that it will last forever. I have been loving these!
Can’t forget the skin! After all, the best base starts with great skin. In the Play box I got the cutest mini of the Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Skin Booster. Going into the winter months this will come in handy for giving my skin the extra hydration it will need.
Last, fragrance. I was sent Gabrielle by Chanel. This is a floral perfume with notes of jasmine, orange blossom, grasse tuberose, and ylang-ylang. Can’t wait to try it out, I do like more floral perfumes although usually with a hint of spice to it.
I really enjoyed the theme of this box. Even though I have owned some of the items before, they were some of my favorites so I don’t mind the repeats. I can’t wait to try out the foundation and the skin booster.
Hope y’all are having a great week!
