I have another Lorac gift set coming at ya! But first off, did y’all have a great Thanksgiving? I sure did, my mom is in town for the week and we’ve been hanging out, did some black Friday shopping, and cooking. Now that Thanksgiving has passed it is officially Christmas/Hanukkah time! And I don’t have to be ashamed for listening to Christmas music.
I already reviewed and swatched one of the Lorac Mod Goddess Alter Ego Lipstick sets which you can check out here, and if you read that post then you know I already LOVE Lorac gift sets.
Lorac also came out with a Mod Goddess Alter Ego Lipgloss set it comes with 6 full sized lipglosses. Let me repeat that…FULL SIZED products. Not only are the glosses full sized but there are 6 of them, in the past Lorac only included 5 glosses in their sets. This set retails for $26 (a $102 value) and is found at Ulta.
The packaging for the glosses is similar to the lipstick sets with the millennial pink packaging. The 6 shades range from nude to a wearable burgundy. The colors are perfect for this time of year but are also very wearable all year round.
The lightest shade is Angel and is described as a shimmery nude.
Next up is Duchess, which is a rosy nude with no shimmer. This is a great everyday my lips but better color.
Heroine is a pinky mauve with just the slightest hint of shimmer.
Calypso is described as a berry violet, but is a very wearable berry.
Athena is a beautiful red with just a hint of orange.
Prom Queen is a soft burgundy, not too dark.
The applicator is a flat doe foot applicator the same as their other glosses that I have. The colors are opaque with amazing color payoff. Angel is the only shade that is a bit more sheer but for a nude I’m not surprised. It’s still wearable on its own or layered over a lipstick.
Prom Queen is also a shade included in Lorac’s Mod Goddess Alter Ego lipstick set. I’ve swatched the lipstick and lipgloss version side by side.
As you can see both are similar and would look beautiful together for a glossy deeper burgundy look perfect for the holidays.
Altogether this is another great holiday kit from Lorac. Great color range, great formula, great product. They really knocked it out of the park with this.
Which colors are your favorite? Let me know!
