Simple Christmas Morning

Looking over my holiday posts I realized that I had gotten so caught up in the holiday sets and new releases that I had not posted a holiday make up look! So I have a little bit of a different version for you today. If your curious to see what my casual Christmas is all about, keep reading.

I always see all these glam Christmas posts on other fashion and beauty blogs about what to wear on Christmas. But if you are anything like my family then we are a bit more casual. We wake up, drink mimosa’s, open presents, and then later in the day get ready. We spend a good portion of the day lounging in pajama’s and slippers just sitting by the fire.

So I wanted to post a quick make up look that is for those casual Christmas days.

This is one of those looks where I reach for my tried and true favorites, I’m probably not trying out anything new. Here is what I used today: Too Faced Primed & Peachy Perfecting Matte Primer, Lancome Teint Idole 24 hour foundation, Tarte Shapetape, Maybelline Fit Me Powder, Tarte Amazonian blush in Paaarty, Tarte Tarteist Pro Eyeshadow Palette, Benefit Brow Pencil, Sephora Collection Brow Gel, and Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Mascara.

On a day like Christmas I’m going for something that’s quick (don’t want to miss out on any family time!) but something that’s more than the no-makeup-makeup look.

I applied one of my favorite foundations, applied a bit of concealer and set with powder. Applied some light blush and filled in my brows just a little. For the eyes I used three shades from the Tarteist palette: Chic, Profesh, and Mod.

I blended Chic in the crease, Profesh all over the lid, and used Mod in the outer corner. You could easily use Chic in the crease and all over the lid for a really blown out one color look and it would look great. I applied a few coats of mascara and called it a day!

I applied a nude gloss.

This is what I would wear for Christmas day. What are some of your family traditions for Christmas? Can’t wait to hear from you!

xo,
