Minimal Makeup

Happy Friday y’all! I can’t wait for the weekend. I work a 8-5 desk job Monday through Friday, so everyday I get up and do my hair and wear a full face of makeup. Sometimes on the weekend I like to either go bare-faced or rock my version of the no makeup makeup look.

On days where I have errands to run or I just don’t feel like wearing a lot of makeup but still want a little something, I have a few things I do so I still feel a little put together.

I recently picked up the It Cosmetics CC Cream. This product has been around forever, years ago when I started watching YouTube guru’s talked about it then. It’s labeled as a CC Cream but it has much more coverage than your average CC Cream.

I’ve used this product quite a few times now and I really enjoy it. On its own it gives enough coverage that it evens out my skin. It has a very natural finish, not too dewy or matte. Its buildable, so if you want a little extra coverage in certain places then you can have it. Even with my oily t-zone I find that this doesn’t break down or appear make my skin any oilier. While the CC Cream has all these great qualities the major downside is the shade range. There are currently only 7 shades of this (I have the lightest in Fair). It Cosmetics is adding another 4 or 5 shades this year, but I think there could be even more than that.

For my no makeup makeup days I like to wear a foundation that is a bit lighter, so more of my skin shows through. This CC Cream is the perfect product. I applied it using the It Cosmetics brush and it blends out like a dream. I dab a little concealer under my eyes and set my face with powder.

I do my brows like I normally do, since I feel like they help frame my face. I apply a natural looking blush. Something that is more of a nudey pink, but no highlight. I add mascara and a lip gloss. The one I’ve been using lately is from the birthday set from Ulta and it is the Ulta Juice Infused Lip Oil in Cranberry & Pomegranate. The lip oil surprised me, it lasts a decent time on the lips and I find it to be very hydrating. It gives such a great glossy look.

So that’s it. That is my no makeup makeup look. For those moments when I want to look like I didn’t just roll out of bed but didn’t want to put that much effort into it either. We all have those days right?
