Clean Philosophy

One of my favorite skincare brands is Philosophy, especially their Purity line. I was recently gifted (thanks Mom) some of their newest additions.

One of my favorite facial cleansers is the Philosophy Purity. I love to use it at night to remove my makeup. Its soft and gentle and doesn’t make my skin feel tight or dry. So I was very excited to try the newish Pore Extractor Exfoliating Clay mask and the new Purity Ultra Light moisturizer.

Now the particular set I have is from QVC but I was able to find the mask and moisturizer online at Sephora as well.

I’ve been using the Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel for my daytime moisturizer and I love it. But I have noticed these drier months that it hasn’t quite been enough to keep my skin hydrated.

The new moisturizer from Philosophy is light weight but effective. I only need a pea sized amount and my skin feels plump and hydrated. My makeup wears wonderfully on top, it doesn’t pill up or make me oilier throughout the day. The only thing I wish it had was an added SPF.

The Pore Extracting mask does what the simple title suggests. It feels like a standard clay mask so I wouldn’t suggest putting this all over your face but focus it on the t-zone or any trouble areas you have. You only have to leave it one for 5 to 10 minutes before it’s dry.

When you rinse it off your skin will feel so smooth and clean and your pores will look smaller, but somehow your skin will not feel dry or dehydrated. I used this recently on a couple acne spots I had and they cleared up within two days.

So far I’m loving these two products and newest additions to the Purity line. If your looking for something new to try that is effective yet gentle on the skin I highly recommend these products.
