Get Your Glow On

I feel like I’ve been on a little bit of a blush and highlighter kick lately. There have just been so many great blush and highlighters that have come out lately! I spotted this little trio on the “new arrivals” page at Ulta and thought it seemed so different, I just had to have it!

Laura Geller has some of the best cult classic highlighters (gilded honey anyone?!) Surprisingly I’ve never tried anything from this brand. Whenever I’m in Ulta I will always look through the selection but have never pulled the trigger. Although my mom LOVES this brand and swears by it.

The Life Glows On! highlighting palette caught my eye because it was such a good deal! For almost the price of one of the Baked Gelato Swirl Highlighters you get three. They are smaller in size, but that doesn’t bother me at all because I can’t tell you the last time I hit pan on a highlighter.

Two of  the shades already exist. French Fizz is a beautiful soft gold and Diamond Dust is a holographic/opalescent pink. Diamond Dust was originally released late last year as an anniversary shade and I’ve been wanting it ever since. Opal Crush is a new shade and it is a iridescent violet.

The highlighters are baked in the well known Gelato swirl. The packaging is this beautiful holographic-oil slick-reflective packaging. I don’t even know how to describe it but its stunning and it comes with a small mirror.

Here are some swatches! Top to bottom: Opal Crush, French Fizz, and Diamond Dust.

Here are the swatches in natural sunlight.

These are BEAUTIFUL. They are so creamy and blend so well on the skin. While Opal Crush and Diamond Dust are not the most natural highlighters they don’t look awkward on the cheek. I love French Fizz, its a perfect gold for fair skin.

I’ve really been enjoying these. I know totally understand the hype about her highlighters. If your in the market for something new I suggest the Life Glows On!
