Happy almost 4th of July to my fellow Americans. Most of us are spending this day with family and friends outside. If you want a quick look that is a natural glam with a few tips that will prevent your makeup from melting off your face, then keep reading!
Quick side note. How are you guys liking the new look? The blog got a little bit of a face lift over the weekend and I’m in love. I feel like my blog has grown up and graduated.
I’m spending this Fourth with some good friends around a BBQ but I still want to look cute and put together but don’t want my makeup to slide off my face in the summer heat.
-Sunscreen! I mentioned before in my lake day post (here) about how important sunscreen is. It is the first step of anti-aging and most importantly will help protect you against skin cancer. This one from Coola is my new favorite. It has a slight tint but has a matte powdery finish.
-Primer. I love this one from Too Faced. It has a slight cooling effect and helps keep me matte all day, which is what I need in this summer heat.
-CC Cream. The It Cosmetics CC Cream is perfect for backyard cookout. It has great coverage, is light on the face and has added sunscreen benefits.
-Liquid Highlight. I love these Cover FX drops. They can give a subtle or blinding highlight. I went for subtle so I could achieve that all over glow.
-Brows. I kept it simple by just using a tinted brow gel to keep my brows in place.
-Mascara. Use you’re favorite voluminous mascara instead of a lot of eye makeup or liner. It gives that natural glam look and if you wear waterproof mascara then you can join in on a balloon fight with no worries.
-Lip gloss. Gloss is way less maintenance then lipstick. A great bronze gloss like the Universal gloss from Fenty is perfect for this type of day. Gives your lips a plump look with a slight tint.
Finish off the look with Urban Decay De-Slick setting spray and your good to go!
I paired this look with a simple white tee and red bandanna in my hair. Perfect for that laid back backyard cookout.
Hope everyone has a safe and happy 4th of July.
