I know, I know, I just talked about the Milk Blur Stick primer. So why am I bringing it up again. Because I spotted this potential dupe by Maybelline at CVS and I just had to put it to the test.
Maybelline has been killing it. They have released so many new things lately. They revamped their primers, they have a lip plumper lipstick, a lip primer, stick foundation and foil lipstick. They have even more stuff but I’ll talk about that later. One of their new products is the Master Blur Stick. This comes in three shades: translucent, light/medium, and medium/tan. I picked mine up in translucent.
Lets get on with the comparisons:
The Maybelline packaging is pretty basic, plastic with a clear lid. This isn’t all that different from Milk, which is a more frosted looking clear plastic packaging. Maybelline has 0.3 oz of product whereas the Milk Blur Stick comes with 1 oz of product. You are getting about 3x the product in the Milk Blur Stick but it also comes with a heftier price tag of $36 for the full size The Maybelline Blur Stick rings in at $10, so you could buy three of them and still be saving $6 (or more if you use an Ulta coupon). The product does feel different. The Maybelline Blur Stick is more slick feeling whereas the Milk Blur Stick seems stiffer.
But seeing is believing right?
Here is an up close and personal shot of my face sans makeup. I like to think I don’t have the worst pores in the world but they are there. On either side of my nose. I also tested these primers out on my forehead where I have a few fine lines.

There is my forehead with only the Maybelline Blur Stick applied on one side. Can you tell which half?

Left is Milk Makeup. Right Maybelline. Do you think it is a dupe?!
I have to say that while the product feels a little different I think I found a dupe for the Milk Blur Stick!
I think my pores look great! And by great they almost disappear and this dupe is a great affordable option. Normally I’m not too keen on drugstore primers but I’m so glad I took a chance on this one by Maybelline because I am very impressed.
Here is the finished look. I’m wearing the new Almay Goddess Gloss in Fairy.
What other drugstore dupes should I know about?? I’d love to know!
