Hi friends! Two weeks I posted a quick little look and first impressions of the Colourpop x Kathleen Lights collab and I promised a more in depth view with a couple looks, so that’s what I got for you today!
The highlight from the collection was a surprise favorite. Not because I didn’t think I was going to like it, but because I’m surprised how much I love it and how often I reach for it. I have the shade On The Cusp and its a really beautiful shade that is almost a golden silver color. This highlight is something you can wear just a little for a hint of glow or really pack it on for that strobbing effect.
For this photo I wore it a little heavier than I would in more normal everyday life, but I think its still beautiful and doesn’t look too crazy.
Now this eye look is created just from the eyeshadow palette and the Supernova liquid eyeshadow in the shade Constellation. I started with using The Libra in the crease and the majority of the lid. I then used The Sagittarius to deepen the outer corner and lower lash line. I pressed The Cancer on the inner part of my lid. Lastly I used Constellation as a liner and winged it out. I think this look will be perfect come Fall. I’ve also used The Libra as a one shadow look multiple times now and it looks great.
For the next look I wanted to create something a little warmer and fiery.
I started by running The Taurus through my crease.
Then I used The Virgo to deepen everything up.
I also smudged The Virgo on the lower lash line and pressed The Aries on the the lid.
I finished the look off by using The Gemini on the inner lower lash line and inner corner highlight.
A pretty simple look to recreate but the shade The Aries really packs a punch and is a fiery orange shade that would look striking on everyone.
On to look two!
I started off by blending The Aquarius everywhere. I’m kidding, but barely. I used it in my crease and lower lash line as well as the inner and outer corners of my lids. This blue shade is really a testament to the quality of these shadows. Blue shadow is difficult. Especially a matte blue. Most matte blues I’ve used can be chalky and difficult to work with. But not this one.
Next I packed on The Pisces on to the center of my lid. That’s it. This is a two shadow look but I looks very cool.
Here are both of the finished looks. I popped on some mascara and that was it. It wasn’t until I was looking at the finished photographs that I realized I kinda had a fire and ice theme happening here, which is also very appropriate for a astrological themed eyeshadow tutorial.
That is three looks for you out of this one palette. I still think this is such a versatile palette! You can create a cool toned blue look, a warm orange/brown look, and a on trend mauve/berry look.
The Supernova liquid shadow is amazing and versatile. You can swipe it all over the lid or use it as liner. The Super Shock highlighter is a great everyday highlight or it can pack a punch.
This is probably my favorite eyeshadow palette from Colourpop. If you create any of these looks please tag me in them!
