Hi friends! I’m a little late to the party posting my August Sephora Play Box unboxing, but I didn’t want to skip a month. September is just flying by, I can’t believe it.
Some how the months just seem to speed by, partly I think because of wedding planning. Trying to stay on top of deadlines, vendors, and all the little details makes the months fly by. But I have to say I’m having a blast wedding planning, if you guys are interested in knowing more about that, let me know and I’ll share more of the process!
This months box was all about going back to school, beauty school that is. None of these products were really out there, they are your basics.
There were two hair products in this months box, The TBD Multi-tasking Styler from Living Proof and volumizing shampoo and conditioner from Ouai. The TBD styler from Living Proof is meant to be used on dry or damp hair. On damp it helps create a sleek blowout. On dry hair use it to deconstruct and add texture. I probably won’t use the little packets of shampoo and conditioner but I will toss them into my travel case for future trips.
Next up, brow gel from Anastasia Beverly Hills. Now I used this brow gel waaaayyy back in the day because it was the only brow gel talked about on YouTube and ABH really started the brow craze. I haven’t used this product in quite some time and I have forgotten just how GREAT it is. This little sample has made me want to pick this up next time I run out of brow gel.
Hoola from Benefit is not a new product for me. I’ve used this before and I currently own a full size of this. I’ll give this cute little guy away to a friend because Hoola is just too dark and warm from me, Hoola Lite is perfect for me. But if Hoola is a good match for you, give it a try because it is a great formula and a nice bronzer.
This lipstick is new for me. This is from Make Up For Ever and is one of the Artist Rouge Lipsticks in the shade C211 – Rose Wood. I’m excited to try this formula and this shade is beautiful and perfect heading into fall.
Another new product I’m excited to try is the Origins Original Skin Retexturizing Mask with Rose Clay. Now that’s a mouthful, but I love almost everything from Origins. This mask promises to purify the skin while smoothing out any texture on the surface. I love masks like this. I’ll let you know how this one works out on my mini-review highlight section on Instagram Stories.
That’s everything I got this month, some great basics but nothing too exciting or groundbreaking! I can’t wait to give some of these items a try.
Stay tuned for later this week, I have a fun review and tutorial coming up!
